🍃 Do Low-Dose Cannabevs Belong in the Same Channels as Alcohol?
This week I asked my communities: Do you support Low-Dose (1-10mg) THC options in Liquor/grocery stores and On-Premise at bars/restaurants? Alongside Alcohol products?
As expected with my very pro-cannabis following the results were very much skewed in favor of allowing these beverages into more mainstream places Many pointed out the success seen in states like Minnesota, where hemp-derived THC is already making waves. The Midwest’s strong drinking culture, combined with the availability of low-dose options in familiar environments like liquor stores, breweries, and restaurants, is helping to meet the canna-curious consumer where they are.
Others emphasized the potential for these products to cater to those looking for low-dose or even micro-dose options, with some suggesting that 5mg or less is the sweet spot for broader acceptance. It’s clear that there’s a growing appetite for these beverages in traditional alcohol-serving venues, provided the dosing is mindful and accessible.
Hoping to see more markets shift to accommodate these choices as we continue to evolve the conversation around cannabis and its place in our daily lives.
