Hemp-derived THC beverages roughly doubled from about $630 million in 2024 to over $1.1 billion in 2025, per Brightfield Group, in a category that barely existed in 2018. The alcohol switch is measurable too: 47.8% of THC drink consumers report drinking less alcohol since they started, per Brightfield’s Q3 2025 consumer survey. Inside dispensaries, BDSA pegs beverages at roughly 1% of cannabis dollars but growing 15% a year, with low-dose formats growing fastest. The catch: federal hemp rules are set to restrict hemp-derived THC in November 2026 unless carve-outs land, and states keep moving in both directions.
